Ginger Adventures – Willy Wonka and the Ginger Factory
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory was the name of a 1971 American musical fantasy film directed by Mel Stuart and starred Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. It’s an adaptation of the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and tells the story of Charlie Bucket as he receives a Golden Ticket, which grants him a visit to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory with four other children from around the world.
It was later remade by famous director Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp as the whimsical confectionery inventor. The movies and book both took children of all ages on an amazing journey of wonder, creation and flavour. These school holidays, an adaptation of this Dahl classic will be taking place at our very own Ginger Factory all throughout the coming school holidays, right here on the Sunshine Coast.
