For the socialites of the Sunshine Coast, there is one food and wine festival that takes precedence over all others, the Noosa Food and Wine Festival. This year, from May 20th, to the 22nd, Noosa will play host to a swathe of events to tickle your food and wine loving taste buds. For a full description of each event, and to book your tickets, see the Noosa Food and Wine Festival website.
Following are some of my favourites available this year.

Earlier this year, Fiji was struck by a devastating natural disaster in the form of Cyclone Winston. For Chef Peter Kuruvita, this hit all too close to home, with his culinary presences extending beyond Noosa Beach House to the shores of Fiji with Flying Fish restaurant located on Denarau Island. ‘He has seen firsthand the devastation that Cyclone Winston had on the lovely Fijian people. Please join us for a night of fantastic food and wonderful wines in support of our neighbours in Fiji. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to support the families affected by the cyclone. Champagne on arrival and wines sponsored by Mandala Wines, with the head of winemaking, Charles Smedley, hosting the event alongside Chef Peter Kuruvita.
