So where do you go? Obviously, you want the best bang for your buck; a fairway full of fun, presents a challenge and is further complemented by its picturesque backdrop. Here’s the top four courses at under $100 a pop.

Horton Park Golf Club

Regardless of the fact that Horton Park will be moving to Bli Bli from Maroochydore in mid-2014, a thriving membership has remained faithful to their favourite club. The greens are in great condition and it’s an easy walk due to the flats; there’s plenty of water hazards that may cause some trouble, but if you consider yourself a daring golfer, then these slight obstacles shouldn’t pose too many problems. If you’re looking to join, the fees for members are only $34 and for visitors, 18 holes will cost $50.

Headland Golf Club

Located in the hills of Buderim, Headland Golf Club has a prestigious 55 year history, attracting numerous awards, including the Queensland Golf Club of the Year. It’s evident from this accolade, that Headlands is a club that delivers superior services to its players. The 18 hole, 6086 metre Championship Course does require a certain level of fitness; but once you wind your way through the lush flora and share the green with Kangaroos and countless bird life, you stop worrying about the hilly terrain. Although Headlands is climbing up there in price, it’s well worth the thirty to fifty dollars required to take the caddy out.
