SUNSLINEAnother World of Adventure – Elanda Point
The Great Sandy National Park is one of the most exquisite reserves in the world, with a rich and diverse series of interlocking ecosystems supporting an awe inspiring range of wild life and flora. It truly is one of the best tourist destinations our incredible country has to offer. The only problem is, with so much to see and do within the massive national park, it can be overwhelming. Lucky there are a lot of services offering a great range of guided tours and experiences to give you the best possible experience of the Great Sandy National Park – including the Elanda Point team.
From canoeing, camping and hiking, to cabins and corporate events, Elanda has everything to suit your recreational pursuits. I recently went with my youngest on her school trip with the group, and had an amazing time. We went on the Harry’s Tuesday Guided Canoe Safari and paddled our way through the entirety of the Noosa Everglades. It truly was an unforgettable experience, with fantastic instructors and guides to help us on our adventure. While the whole experience was incredible, my most treasured memory was one I was able to capture with my camera. We had begun our paddle through the Narrows – an area of incredibly reflective water. The scenery was amazing, its beauty only increased by its mirrored reflection surrounding our crafts. My daughter, a bit of a klutz at the best of times, somehow managed to get herself wedged on a rock, at an angle of about 45 degrees to the surface of the water. This amazing balancing act raised quite a chorus of laughter and giggles amongst the other children and the rest of the group. I managed to time my shot to get a perfect photo of her wide, giggling smile, reflected perfectly in the calm water beside her – with cackling school mates in the distance.
It really was a great experience, accompanied by a fantastic barbeque on the banks of the river. All and all an incredible experience, with plenty more on offer, including custom corporate events for businesses that feel the need for ‘synergy’ and ‘team building’ exercises that I remember from my days of working in an office cubicle.
