Hooroo Hoodoo – Under the Southern Stars
The Hoodoo Gurus are one of Australia’s longest running and most iconic rock bands, originating in the 1980’s, and finding great success throughout the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s culminating in their induction to the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007. In 2000 they became the soundtrack to a huge part of popular Australian culture when they released “That’s My Team!”. A variation on their 1987 top 3 hit song “What’s My Scene?”, as the theme song to the Australian National Rugby League. And of course, they’ve continued to create and release fantastic music and play incredible gigs all around the world. This January 20th, the Hoodoo Gurus will be headlining the 2019 Under the Southern Stars festival held right here on the Sunshine Coast, at the Sunshine Coast Stadium.
The Bill for the festival is truly something special, with talents on display from the history and the future of Australian Rock music. Included on the lineup are the iconic You Am I – the all Australian alternative rock outfit fronted by lead singer/songwriter/guitarist, Tim Rogers.
