Wishlist Jazz and Wine Festival 2019
Returning for it’s fifth year, the Wishlist’s Jazz and Wine Festival is set for this August 10th – with a lineup of incredible, celebrated jazz artists, gourmet food and wine, plus (for those willing to splash out on the pricier tickets) an all-inclusive VIP veranda boasting the best vantage point of the events goings-on. General entry tickets for the event will cost you $30pp and means you’ll have to bring your own chairs or rug to properly relax and enjoy the wide variety of delicious food, wines, ciders and beers on offer as you’re serenaded through the afternoon – a very lovely date idea. For those wanting a more exclusive experience, the Veranda VIP tickets, setting you back $130pp will give you access to the best seats in the house, as well as an all-inclusive catering package including all drinks. Looking for an excuse to write off a Jazz and Wine festival as a corporal expense? Invite 9 others and purchase a Corporate Marquee Area for $1500 – includes your corporate logo on the event program, as well as all-inclusive food and drinks for you and your guests, and an incredible view of the entertainment.
So aside from Jazz and Wine, what is this event all about? You. Well, sort of, in that Wishlist is a non-for-profit Foundation working with communities to promote and raise funds for hospitals by holding events such as this Festival. Proceeds go towards new programs and equipment and training for hospitals in our region. The Wishlist Foundation support many hospitals in the Sunshine Coast region, including the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour Hospital, Maleny, Caloundra, and Gympie as well as numerous ancillary services.
The Festival itself takes place on Saturday the 10th of August, beginning at 2pm and finishing up at around 6pm at the breathtaking Gunabul Homestead in Gympie. Don’t trust yourself to behave? A shuttle bus will be on offer for $25pp – picking up punters from the Mooloolaba public car-park on Brisbane road, dropping everybody off directly to the homestead, and bringing everybody back at the end of the evening. So leave the car at home, and let the Wishlist Foundation be your Designated Driver.
