Breakfast with the Birds: Guided bird walk
As we’ve all heard many, many times, morning is the best time for bird watching, so why not join the Sunshine Coast chapter of Birdlife Australia for guided morning bird walks through beautiful Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. It’s another great initiative of the Sunshine Coast Council.
The Sunshine Coast hinterland and the reserve in particular, is home to hundreds of species of beautiful birds including; the spectacular Paradise Riflebirds, the enigmatic Noisy Pitta and the string Regent Bowerbird. Plus if you’re in photography, it may well provide you with a great opportunity to build on your bird photography skills.
The walk is limited to just 12 people, so your chances of seeing one of these stars of the rainforest is maximised. Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them!
You’ll probably have worked up an appetite from your morning ramble, so why not drop in for breakfast at the Mountain View Café? Obviously, breakfast cannot be included in the small $5.50 tour cost, but there’s a great breakfast menu to choose from.
