Noosa Regional Gallery Workshops

The Noosa Regional Gallery is a spectacular space showcasing the talents of amazing and diverse, contemporary artists of both local, national and international success and origins. Not only does it rank as one of Australia’s best contemporary art galleries, but it also plays host to workshops and classes designed to bring the artist in us all to the forefront. Classes aimed at all ages from early childhood, right through until adulthood and of all skill levels are held throughout the year – in particular, some fantastic classes are being held this November and December.

Noosa Regional Gallery Workshops

Beginning on the 12th of November, the Noosa Regional Gallery will be holding an introductory workshop based around developing your drawing skills and talents. Learning Drawing Series – An Introduction to Drawing will be lead by Artist Lyndon Hallows who will guide those beginning to explore drawing through simple, hands-on exercises designed to break down the process of drawing into easy and understandable parts. This will include a series of three sessions focusing on the basics of line control, creating depth, and finally still life studies and the human form.

Noosa Regional Gallery Workshops

On the 17th of November, a class aimed at teenaged artists will be held focusing on the use of the Pastel medium but is, of course, open to all ages. Pass the Pastel – Drawing Masterclass for Teens will be lead by artist Lyndon Hallows and will take the form of an extensive session of drawing and working with Pastels to help develop a mastery of their potential for rich tones and blended shadows focusing on developing a realistic piece showcasing the strengths of this medium.
